Registration is now open for Mindfulness for Teens, a self-paced, 6-week online course through MTDA.  

This course was designed by MMP teachers for students in grades 6-12, introducing students to the practice of mindfulness, exploring its benefits for mental and emotional well-being.

About the Course

.Through a series of engaging activities, students will learn how to integrate mindfulness techniques into their daily lives to reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance emotional resilience. The course will cover foundational mindfulness practices such as breathing exercises, body scans, and mindful reflection, alongside discussions on how these techniques can be applied in school, relationships, and personal growth. By exploring the science behind mindfulness and the ways it positively impacts the brain, students will gain a deeper understanding of the connection between thoughts, emotions, and actions. Through this course, students will develop practical skills for managing emotions, cultivating self-awareness, and fostering a sense of calm in their lives. By the end of the course, students will feel equipped to navigate challenges with a mindful approach, promoting their overall well-being.

Montana Digital Academy is a learning platform for Montana schools, offering licensed content that serves purposes beyond the scope of the classroom. These supplementary courses target individual needs in a student’s educational pathway.
